Range Rover Evoque 2019 Review




Jaguar & Land Rover announced the launch of its compact SUV Range Rover Evoque and said it will begin full-fledged sales. The second-generation Evoque has been reborn as a full-change after eight years.


The new Range Rover Evoque is also equipped with a number of cutting-edge features that the brand first or the world's first. Through the artificial intelligence algorithm, Smart Setting function, which learns driver preferences and behavior, automatically adjusts seat position, sound, and in-vehicle temperature settings, ClearSight Rear View Mirror, which provides clear rear view as required, and Clear Site Ground View System, which provides front view as if it were looking at a bonnet.


The all-new Range Rover Evoque comes with an Ingenium diesel and gasoline engine with three power specifications, and the brand's first 48-volt MHEV (Mild Hybrid System) diesel engine. The Belt Integrated Starter Generator (BISG) and lithium-ion batteries fitted to vehicles store energy during vehicle operation to assist with engine running. Driving below 17 km/h will stop the engine from running, and stored energy will be used to accelerate the engine upon restart. This improved fuel efficiency by about 5 percent.



The 2.0 Litre 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine has two outputs: maximum power 150 horsepower and 180 horsepower.

It has the best combination of economic performance and performance. The 2.0-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine has a maximum output of 249 horsepower and a maximum torque of 37.2 kilogram-meters. For 150 horsepower diesel engines, the 12.5 km/L and the 180 horsepower diesel engine achieved a combined fuel economy of 11.9 km/L.


All-new Range Rover Evoque has been applied with Terrain Response®2 and all-terrain Progress Control (ATPC) in all models. The system analyzes the current driving conditions using a sophisticated 'intelligent' system and automatically selects the most suitable terrain program. There are seven modes to choose from: dynamic, echo, Comfort, lawn/gravel/snow, mud and bumps, sand and rock-rock slow driving, and automatic setting is also possible. In addition, it will adjust the height of the suspension, engine response and traction control intervention to create the best driving environment in any environment.


The all-new Range Rover interior offers a new level of sophistication and luxury through an innovative approach to interior design. The InControl Touch Pro Duo infotainment system is divided into 10" dual-screen, each of the top and bottom, and is designed in a cleaner configuration, with various vehicle control functions divided by parcels for greater ease of use and intuitiveness.





Thanks to its wheelbase, which is 21 millimeters longer than its predecessor, it has secured ample interior space. The efficient interior design also provides an additional 26 litres of storage space, while the front door bins also provide room for 1.5 litres of water bottles. The wider glove box and center cover provide leisurely storage for tablets and water bottles. Loadspace is also available with 40:20:40 folding rear seats, which allow for a greater variety of space utilization as well as a maximum load space of 1,383 liters from the base 591L.


The All New Range Rover Evoque offers InControl Apps for user convenience and is also linked to Apple's CarPlay as well as Genie Music. In addition, T Map x NUGU artificial voice assistant (Virtual Personal Assistant) service will be provided through collaboration with SK Telecom for the first time in Korea. The "T Map xNUGU" AI features the full functionality of the "Jaguar Land Rover T Map" in a convenient way for drivers to use all the functions of the "Jaguar Land Rover T Map" with only their voice while driving, without having to touch it while driving.


The all-new Range Rover Evoque also features several best-in-class driving aids and safety specifications. Driving assistance features include Park Assist (Span/Deprecision Parking and Escape), 360° Park Sensor, Passenger Exit Monitoring, and Reverse Traffic Detection. Lane maintenance assist, Adaptive Cruise Control (Basic for D180 SE models), and Blind Spot Assist (Basic for D180 SE models) are applied as safety specifications. The 12 parking sensors also enhance user convenience through surround cameras operating at speeds up to 30 km/h, air-clean sensors for pleasant indoor spaces, and activity keys provided as an option.
